English:
How earthquake early warning systems work. Upon a fault rupture, fast primary and slow secondary waves travel through the ground. The P-wave information is collected from seismometers and analyzed at a central station, and alerts on estimated magnitude, intensity, epicenter, and time til shaking are transmitted via sirens, phones, computers, television, radio, and other warning systems.
