Black-and-white portrait of Edwin Wiley Grove, builder of Grove Park Inn, Asheville, North Carolina. The Tennessee-born entrepreneur and inventor of a successful patent medicine later built the Grove Park Inn, a nationally-known hotel in the mountains of North Carolina. Grove spent the greater part of his summers after 1900 in Asheville. He died in 1927. Image courtesy of the University of North Carolina at Asheville.
