Description
English: Dutch wild carp ca 50 cm. Dutch wild carp are found mainly to the North and West of Amsterdam. Other populations are considered feral carp. The carp has been present here since the 13th century. There are also populations of feral carp in the Haarlemmermeer (mixed with occasional wild carp), The province Zeeland in brackish waters and Flevoland and other places. Wild carp lacks red color on the fins, it has a mouth that is pointing forward when protruded, lacks the hump of the back behind the head and the flesh is red.
