Devils Lake (elevation 11,980 ft (3,652 m) viewed from the northeast along Calf Creek Plateau. The lake is located in the San Juan Mountains of Colorado and within the Powderhorn Wilderness. The exposed rock in the foreground is from volcanic flows of the Hinsdale Formation (Miocene) which underlies nearly all of the expansive alpine area of this wilderness.
