Summary
Description Dendrographa leucophaea 27778.jpg |
English:
The lichen species
Dendrographa leucophaea
(Tuck.) Darbish. Specimen photographed in Point Lobos State Park, Monterey Co., California, USA. "Notes: These cool octopus-like things were growing on the rocks above Sealion Point, easily accessible from the trail. The rocks are fully exposed to sun, wind, fog. However this lichen tended to grow on the somewhat more sheltered north to northwest, slightly overhung faces."
