Summary
Description Dauntsey railway station (site) (geograph 3329006).jpg |
English:
Dauntsey railway station (site)
Opened in 1868 by the Great Western Railway on its line from London to Bristol, this station closed in 1965. View west towards Chippenham and Bristol, although the platforms ran under the bridge beneath and behind the photographer. From 1877 to 1933, this was the junction for the Malmesbury branch which would have curved sharp right from a bay platform, into the bushes. |
