Der Bär auf dem Baumstumpf ist dem Siegel der Dorfgmain aus dem 17. Jahrhundert entnommen. Das Bild hängt wohl mit den Flurnamen wie Bärenhaide und Neugereuth zusammen, die auf die Entstehung des Ortes durch Rodung hinweisen. Da keine Farben für dieses Siegelbild überliefert sind, gab man ihm die fränkischen Farben Silber und Rot.
