Object history |
Deutsch:
Das Wappen wurde am 15. Oktober 1971 von der
Bezirksregierung Koblenz
genehmigt. Der Adler weist auf die
Grafen von Are
English:
The arms were granted on October 15, 1971. The eagle is taken from the arms of the
Counts of Are
and the former city of Ahrweiler. The lion is the lion of the
Duchy of Jülich
and is taken from the arms of Bad Neuenahr. The crown is a symbol for the Estate of Landskron, to which a part of the city historically belonged.
