DC-6 N867TA Northern Air Cargo at ANC 14.6.1989. This aircraft was one of only two DC-6 converted to swing-tail configuration. It was destroyed on 25.9.2001 at Deadhorse-Alpine Airstrip, AK, after one wing broke off on touchdown. All 3 on board survived.

DC-6 N867TA Northern Air Cargo in ANC 14.6.1989. Dieses Flugzeug war eines von nur zwei Exemplaren der DC-6, die auf "swing-tail"-Konfiguration umgebaut worden waren. Es wurde am 25.9.2001 auf dem Flugplatz Deadhorse-Alpine, Alaska, zerstört, nachdem beim harten Aufsetzen eine Tragfläche abgebrochen war. Alle 3 an Bord überlebten.
