Countryside & Industry This photograph was taken near the confluence of the Rivers Aire and Calder (West bank of the Aire before the confluence). The principal subject is the chemical plant in Castleford (previously Hickson & Welch) located centre middle distance. Also in the shot to the right in the far distance on the horizon are the two tall chimneys of Ferrybridge Power Station. There is also a small amount of the cooling towers showing.
