Control Tower Museum at USAAF Framlingham (Parham) View from the roof of the Control Tower Museum of the northern remnants of Runway 35/17 which was part of this vast airfield covering In July 1943 US Army Air Force B17Fs of the 390th Bomb Group started arriving at what had been called Parham Airfield. In 1976 work began on the Control Tower which was restored and opened in 1981 to provide an excellent museum in memory of the 140,000 US airmen who were killed. Also based here is the Museum of the British Resistance Organisation - The Auxiliary Units. Open Sundays and Bank Holidays from March to October and really worth a visit
