Summary
Description Colossus of Ramesses II restored.jpg |
English:
The colossus of
Ramesses II
at Thebes, digitally restored with the upper part of the statue recovered by Belzoni and now in the
British Museum
. The upper part of the bust is of course cleaner and this explains the colour difference. Fragmenting around the break explains the small number of missing sections. Photographed a week apart in September 2004 and digitally combined by
Guy de la Bedoyere
The picture is displayed by the sculpture in the British Museum.
