English: Clava Cairns The North-East Passage Cairn - although today this is open to the elements, originally the overlapping stone structure would have been built to form a totally enclosed, three and a half metre high, inner chamber. The entrance is oriented so that the setting sun on the longest day of the year would illuminate the chamber
