Description
English: The central building is most striking in size and situation of all the existing remains of kashmir grandeur.It is 63 feet in length by 36 in width,and alone of all the temples of kashmir posess,in addition to the cells or sanctuary,a choir and nave termed in Sanskrit the Antarala and Arddhamandapa .The main building at present is uncovered.The original form could be determined by a reference to other temples of kashmir.It is being thought that the roof was of Pyramidal form,remains of four distinct pyramids are seen on each corner of central edifice.The whole temple is built with enormous blocks of lime stones of length 6'8'9 feets.The central building is 75 feet above the ground.
