WIPO Director General Daren Tang (left) received on April 6, 2022, from Rui Alberto de Figueiredo Soares, Cabo Verde's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Regional Integration, the country's instruments of accession to the Paris Convention for the Protection of Industrial Property, Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT), Madrid Protocol, and Geneva Act of the Lisbon Agreement.
With these treaty accessions, innovators in Cabo Verde and around the world will benefit from faster, more efficient and cost-effective ways of protecting their inventions, trademarks and geographical indications across borders.
