CTLA4_Crystal_Structure.rsh.png

This is an image of murine CTLA4 (CD152) which is necessary for inhibiting the T cells. It binds to CD28 with a higher affinity than the costimulatory molecules CD80 and CD86. This image is derived from Protein Data Bank data 1DQT which was published by Ostrov et al. in 2000. I rendered the image in PyMol myself based on the published pdb file.

For the published pdb, please see: Ostrov, D.A., Shi, W., Schwartz, J.C., Almo, S.C., Nathenson, S.G. Structure of murine CTLA-4 and its role in modulating T cell responsiveness. Science v290 pp.816-819 , 2000.
