Gules, three bends vair
, as sculpted on the robe of the effigy in St Mary Magdalene's Church, Cobham, Kent, of Ann Bray (eldest daughter and co-heiress of
w:Edmund Braye, 1st Baron Braye
(c.1480-1539), of Eaton Bray, Bedfordshire) wife of George Brooke, 9th Baron Cobham (d.1558). Anne displays on her chest the two coats of arms of Bray:
Argent, a chevron between three eagle's claws erased sable
(centre, Bray modern) and
Gules, three bends vair
(on her left side, Bray ancient). Also seen quartered on her son's arms elsewhere on the monument.
