Description Birmingham New Street LMS Ivatt 2-6-0 geograph-2778484-by-Ben-Brooksbank.jpg |
English:
LMS Ivatt 2-6-0 at Birmingham New Street.
View eastward from the west end of Platform 6 to Platform 7 in the cavernous Midland Section of the great station, with 4MT 2-6-0 No. 43049 (built 12/49, withdrawn 8/67) on the through road. This is redolent of the time, although the ex-LNW half of the station (off to the left) had lost its overall roof over 10 years before. |
