Summary
Description Balkåkra ritual object (4663417814).jpg |
Is it a drum, a sun altar, a gong or a throne? This occult object is made of bronze. It was found in a bog in 1847 in Skåne, Balkåkra. It has a twin. An identical bronze object was found in northern Hungary, in Hasfalva near Sopron in 1913. These pieces are the only two of their kind in the world. The technique and metal analyses shows that they were manufactured in the same workshop, perhaps by the same craftsman. Read more about the object.
