Summary

Description
English: Ashford Bowdler Level Crossing The automatic half-barrier crossing is located on the only access to the village. Telephones are provided to contact the signaller at Woofferton Junction, about 1.4 miles to the south. The house pictured was, very briefly, a station, before being used as the crossing keeper's accommodation. The current owner informed me that the building was a station between 1850-52 and the then station master, his wife and eight children lived in just four rooms (two upstairs, two downstairs).
