Summary

This picture shows the terrain surrounding the small Krishna crater on the Mare Serenitatis . To the north of center is a wrinkle-ridge named Dorsum Owen . Just visible to the lower right is a portion of the longer Dorsum Von Cotta . The unusual rift-like feature near the center is located at selenographic coordinates 24.5° N, 11.2° E, and occupies a diameter of about 9 km.

The source image was taken during the Apollo 15 mapping metric sequence, revolution 23. The picture was produced by cropping the hi-res image, then rotating 90° counter-clockwise so that north is toward the top edge.
