Description
English: This primitive mammal-like reptile, Anteosaurus magnificus , belonging to a group of carnivorous dinocephalians, was the largest of its kind during its hey-day in the Permian period of the Karoo, about 230 million years ago. This creature pre-dates the well-known dinosaurs by 110 million years.
