"The Damerian Appollo". Caricature of English sculptor Anne Seymour Damer (1748-1828). LOC description: "Mrs. Anne Seymour Damer chiseling the posterior of a large Apollo, who is holding a spear; as a little girl gazes at the Apollo in astonishment. On a pedestal are two nude figures, one full-face, the other in quasi-back view. Beside them is an armless torso on a terminal pillar. On the right is a bust of a child's head on a pedestal inscribed "A model to make a boy from." Behind Mrs. Damer is a grinning figure of Pan, on tall pedestals are a Hercules, a headless figure, and a bust. All the figures in the studio are completely nude."
