Description
Español: Adolfo Eastman Quiroga, minero, empresario y político liberal chileno. Nació en Ovalle, el 28 de octubre de 1835. Falleció en Santiago, el 9 de agosto de 1908. Hijo de Edmundo Eastman White y doña Tomasa Quiroga Darrigrande. Casado en 1858 con Manuela Urmeneta Quiroga, y en segundas nupcias el año 1884, con Carmen Mackenna Serrano. Educado en Inglaterra. En 1848 se dedicó a estudios mercantiles de alto nivel, debiendo trasladarse a Berlín, Alemania (1852), que poseía la mejor Escuela de Comercio de Europa. Estudió además minería en la Escuela de Minas de Sajonia. Se tituló de Ingeniero en Minas en 1856 e Ingeniero Comercial en 1858.
