Tropaeum Traiani Metope XVII
The Roman is equiped with a helmet having broad neckguard, brow guard, cheekpiece, bowl reinforces.
The roman soldier is also equiped with a short-sleeved scale shirt with double rows of pteryges below the hem and at the sleeve of his right arm, encased in laminated armour.
He carries a curved rectangular shield which has a raised border and digamma symbols in the corners. There is also a central boss.
The bearded first enemy wears a Phrygian cap, baggy garments, and fight with a two-handed falx.
