F-specific antibodies can be given directly to young children as monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) or acquired through transplacental transfer from mother to child after maternal immunization to protect them. Adenoviruses expressing F or live-attenuated viruses will be used to vaccinate older infants and young children against RSV disease.
