Description US Navy Intelligence Specialist 3rd Class John Yanc examines Tactical Air Reconnaissance Pod Systems (TARPS) photography in the Aircraft Carrier Intelligence Center (CVIC) on board the US Navy's nuclear powered aircraft carrier USS GEORGE WASHINGTON (CVN 73). The imagery was acquired using the portable TARPS system attached to an F-14B Tomcat aircraft assigned to Fighter Squadron One Four Three (VF 143). George Washington is commanded by US Navy Captain Malcolm P. Branch, and is operating in the Adriatic sea, in support of the NATO-led Implementation Force (IFOR), under operation DECISIVE ENDEAVOR.
