In the case of photographs and applied art works, copyright expires
25 years after the work is created
(art. 16).
In the case of cinematographic works, copyright expires
50 years after the work is created or released
(art. 15).
Because of the partially retroactive character of the law and of the terms of
the previous copyright law
, the works whose authors died before january 1st 1981 and the cinematographic works released before january 1st 1981 are also in the public domain.
