A North American AJ-2
Savage
(BuNo 130418, civil registration N68667) in flight. It was used as a testbed for the AVCO Lycoming YF102-LD-100 turbofan engine used on the Northrop YA-9. The jet engine was mounted on specially-built truss assembly which could be retracted hydraulically into the bomb bay.
