Description
English: A series of four views showing, from the top, a U.S. Air Force General Dynamics F-16 Fighting Falcon aircraft launching a Hughes AIM-120 AMRAAM past an McDonnell F-4 Phantom II chase plane; the missile approaching and then exploding a Convair QF-102A Delta Dagger target drone; and the target going down in flames. The photos were taken in 1982 at the White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico (USA). It was the first time an AIM-120 was tested successfully.
