Italiano: Il lato superstite del Chiostro della Ghiacciaia dell' Università Statale di Milano . Al centro vi si notano i resti, scavati di recente, della ghiacciaia , un ambiente sotterraneo e isolato in cui si conservava la neve raccolta d'inverno per rinfrescare cibi e bevande d'estate. English: The survigin side of the " Ice house cloister " of the Università Statale (State University) building in Milan , Italy. At the center stand the remainings of the ancient Ice house , an underground, round room in which snow and ice were stocked in winter, in order to have cold food and drinks in summer. The cloister itself was half-destroyed by World War II bombings (only one side and a half of the old building is still standing). Picture by Giovanni Dall'Orto , February 22 2008.
