British Railways Type 4 1Co-Co1 class 45/1 diesel-electric locomotive number 45147 stands stored at the end of the Patricroft ROF line by Patricroft station awaiting cutting up. Wednesday 26th December 1984 The locomotive was involved in the Eccles train crash on 4th December 1984. It was moved to Patricroft and about two weeks after the accident was officially classed as stored. It was considered too badly damaged to be moved and was cut up on site by Vic Berry staff in March 1985 Ref no 57/05158 |
