User:BesigedB/sig 43116 in GNER livery at Edinburgh, 17th October 2004 at the tail end of an InterCity 125 train operating a service from Aberdeen to Leeds. The InterCity 125 is the world's fastest diesel train and is used on intercity services in Great Britain where the route is not fully electrified. Most intercity trains in Northern Scotland use the InterCity 125. There is only one train per day between Leeds and Aberdeen in each direction, supplemented by 4 CrossCountry services (2 to/from Dundee, 2 to/from Aberdeen). Taken by Andrew Bell
