Summary
Description 43-commando-hr.jpg |
English:
A British Royal Marine refines his reaction time and accuracy during a live-fire range near Inverness, Scotland during Exercise Tartan Eagle. The exercise, in its 20th iteration, is designed to bring service members from U.S. Marine Security Forces and Royal Marine Fleet Protection Group together to foster a long lasting partnership and to share ideas and tactical training procedures for the recovery and recapture of nuclear weapons. The U.S. and Royal Marines, along with their Navy counterparts, will travel to several locations throughout Scotland and conduct vertical assault climbing, mountaineering, live-fire-ranges, close quarters battle simulation scenarios and enjoy some liberty in the area all in an effort to strengthen the bond and working relationship with our UK counterparts.
