Summary
Description 1955 (1956) Ferrari 250 GT Boano, low-roof all-alloy Berlinetta rear side view.jpg |
English:
A 1955 Ferrari 250GT low-roof all alloy Berlinetta reversing onto the main straight at the 2014 Lime Rock Concours d'Élegance. Chassis number 0447 GT, this is one of the first nine of this Pininfarina design - six of which were built and lightly revised by Boano. It is one of fourteen total with alloy bodywork. It was delivered new to the director of Milan's La Scala opera, Maestro Guido Cantelli, who died only a few months later. The car went on to Luigi Chinetti in the US and has been part of various Ferrari collections since. While the chassis was built in 1955 (one of the first 100 Ferrari 250 GTs built), the bodywork was only completed on 30 July 1956.
