The Ferrari 250 was introduced in 1953, The V12 was available in two different models, the shorter wheelbase Export, based on the 250MM and this car, the longer wheelbase Europa. These early Ferrari's were custom built cars. They were not mass-produced. Ferrari provided the engine and chassis, while Italian coach builders provided the body. Pininfarina and Vignale were tasked with creating the coachwork on these cars. Only 21 of these 250 Europas were built, most were Pininfarina bodies. This Europa Vignale Coupe featured an egg-crate, forward-leaning grille and a mixture of sharp and contoured edges and its rich leather interior certainly spoke of luxury and grace Engine; 200hp 3 litre V12 Photographed at the 2015 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance |
