Description

The Ford Motor Company began in 1903, with the 2 passenger auto carriage, the Model A Runabout. Ford contracted John and Horace Dodge to manufacture the engine. It was under the front seat and drove the rear wheels with a chain. The Dodges started making their own cars in 1914. The second Model, the Model B got a front mounted engine and the rear wheels were driven by a driveshaft, the design patented by Henry Ford in 1903. Engine; 24hp 4 cyl
