Summary
Description 1850 was Daniel Scotts year.jpg |
English:
1850 - Daniel Scott - Harbourmaster, Fremantle.
For Western Australia's 150th Anniversary in 1979, 150 plaques were laid along Saint Georges Terrace, each commemorating an important Western Australian. The plaques were 'donated' (ie: paid for) by various companies, organisations and individuals. Being completely nuts I decided to photograph them all. Over the last 29 years many of the plaques have been moved around. Many are also missing their small "donated by" plaques in the lower right corner. But they're all still there - even if I missed a few and wasn't able to capture 1956 to 1966 (thanks to construction workers closing the pavement) |
