Dupont Circle
neighborhood of Washington, D.C. 1609 was built in 1904 and designed by
Nathan C. Wyeth
and
William Penn Cresson
. 1611 was built in 1895 for Ellen Mason White Colton, the widow of
David D. Colton
, and designed by Carl B. Keferstein. It was later the residence of Qing ambassador Chang Yin Tang. Both buildings are contributing properties to the Dupont Circle Historic District.
