Building in Washington Avenue Historic District on the NRHP since September 7, 1984. The historic district consisted of 8 buildings, roughly bounded by Carpenter, Washington, 10th, and Broad Streets, in the Hawthorne neighborhood of south Philadelphia. This is 1135 Washington, formerly the American Cigar Company, now a trunk rental facility. Plaque at the upper right hand corner says approx. "Merit Mark A (in a triangle) Something something Cigar something"
