Today, AMISOM Police conducted an opening ceremony for the Induction Training of the 140 Ugandan FPU who arrived on the 30th July, 2014. The ceremony, which was officiated by the civilian chief of staff Amb. Epiphanie Ntamuwana began at 1000HRS at the stadium camp with the traditional guard of honour mounted by the Ugandan FPU. Present at the ceremony was the Reforms and Development coordinator Mr. Lloyd Musonda who represented the Commissionner of Police Mr. Anand PILLAY, the Training and Development coordinator Dr. Ben AGORDZO among other senior officers who represented the contingents. In her keynote, the Chief guest welcomed the officers to the mission and implored them to consolidate on the efforts made by their predecessors in resolve to attain peace and stability in Somalia.
