Zarabad-e Gharbi Rural District
Rural district in Sistan and Baluchestan province, Iran
Zarabad-e Gharbi Rural District (Persian: دهستان زرآباد غربي)[3][lower-alpha 1] is in Karvan District of Zarabad County, Sistan and Baluchestan province, Iran.[5] Its capital is the village of Eslamabad-e Lash (Lash).[6]
At the National Census of 2006, its population (as a part of the former Zarabad District of Konarak County) was 8,997 in 1,998 households.[7] There were 8,614 inhabitants in 2,161 households at the following census of 2011.[8] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 8,983 in 2,407 households. The most populous of its 50 villages was Suru, with 1,372 people.[2]
After the census, the district was separated from the county in the establishment of Zarabad County, which was divided into two districts of two rural districts each, with Zarabad as its capital and only city.[5]
