Voila_(album)
Voila (album)
2007 studio album by Belinda Carlisle
The song "Voila," is Belinda carlisle first new album in a decade, which was first sung entirely in French, she is a radical singer for the pop diva and leader of the Go-Gos. Carlisle has fashioned an album that pays tribute to classic French songs of the `40s, `50s and `60s that proves good songs are universal and need no translation to work their exhilarating magic.
"Voila" contains a bonus disc with English versions of four tracks from the album. Bonus tracks include "I Still Love Him," "La Vie en Rose," "Bonnie and Clyde", and "If You Go Away."
"Voila" is the seventh audio album by the American singer Belinda Carlisle, released in 2007. It was Carlisle's first audio album in over a decade and is a cover album of "classic French chansons, and pop standards",[7][8] much different from Carlisle's previous English language pop records.
The album was critically praised; however, it sold moderately. Although all of the songs are sung in French, many of the musicians featured in the album are Irish. Additionally, the album features keyboard arrangements from Brian Eno.
