Bay in Saare County, Estonia

Tagalaht (German: Taggabucht, Swedish: Taggaviken) is a bay in the Baltic Sea, on the northwest coast of the island of Saaremaa in Estonia. The bay is situated between the peninsulas of Tagamõisa (German: Hundsort) and Ninase (German: Ninnast). During World War I, the bay, guarded by Russian beach forts at Tagamõisa and Ninase, was the main landing point for German troops in the October 1917 Operation Albion, during which Saaremaa was captured.[1]
