Rural district in Kurdistan province, Iran


Sara Rural District (Persian: دهستان سرا)[3] is in the Central District of Saqqez County, Kurdistan province, Iran.[4] Its capital is the village of Sara.[5]

At the National Census of 2006, its population was 12,408 in 2,491 households.[6] There were 11,268 inhabitants in 2,829 households at the following census of 2011.[7] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 11,842 in 3,174 households. The most populous of its 47 villages was Kahrizeh, with 1,568 people.[2]
