With a land area of 795.56 km2 (307.17 sq mi), it had a population density of 0.5/km2 (1.4/sq mi) in 2021.[7]
In the 2016 Census of Population, the RM of Ponass Lake No. 367 recorded a population of 422 living in 190 of its 238 total private dwellings, a -15.9% change from its 2011 population of 502. The RM of Ponass Lake No. 367 is governed by an elected municipal council and an appointed administrator that meets on the second Wednesday of every month.[3] The reeve of the RM is Allan Nelson while its administrator is Loretta Prevost.[3] The RM's office is located in Rose Valley.[3]
