Coaching career

On 20 January 2021, Rudy was officially appointed by PSSI as head coach of the Indonesia women's national football team[1]

In September 2021, Rudy helped Indonesia qualified for the 2022 AFC Women's Asian Cup for the first time since 1989, after absence for 33 years.[4] In the final tournament however, Indonesia losts all of their matches without scoring any goal, with one of the defeat was 18—0 against Australia, the nation worst defeat of all time.

On August 1 2023, Rudy was appointed as Liga 2 club Gresik United, however he left the club on 20 November 2023.[5] A week later on 28 November 2024, Rudy became Persiba Balikpapan new coach, howewer the club got relegated to Liga 3.[6]
