The club is based in the town of Portarlington in County Laois, Republic of Ireland. [1]

McCann Park is the home of the Portarlington GAA club, it is named after club member Pat McCann. The Colm Maher memorial stand, which is the main stand in the ground, was built in the memory of Portarlington footballer Colm Maher who died in June 1996. The stand has a capacity of 1,012 people (all seated). McCann Park was used as the venue for the 1979 All-Ireland Senior Ladies' Football Championship final replay, where Offaly defeated Tipperary.[citation needed]
