Pedro José Pagés (born September 17, 1998) is a Venezuelan professional baseball catcher for the St. Louis Cardinals of Major League Baseball (MLB).

Career

Pagés played college baseball at Florida Atlantic University. He was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the sixth round of the 2019 MLB draft.[1]

On November 14, 2023, the Cardinals added Pagés to their 40-man roster to protect him from the Rule 5 draft.[2] He began the 2024 season, with the Triple–A Memphis Redbirds.[3] On April 4, 2024 Matt Carpenter was placed on the 10 day injured list resulting in Pages being promoted to the major leagues for the first time.[4] He made his MLB debut on April 7 as a pinch hitter.[5] On April 11, 2024, Pages was sent down but just 10 days later pages was called back up. This was a corresponding move as Victor Scott ll was optioned to AAA. On April 30, 2024, Pagés hit a sacrifice fly for his for RBI in the MLB.[6]
