Pfeiffer was born in Hamburg.[2] He is of Ghanaian descent.[3]
In the summer of 2019, Pfeiffer joined SV Darmstadt 98 from Hamburger SV.[4]
On June 1, 2023, FC Augsburg signed Pfeiffer from SV Darmstadt 98 for free to a 4-year contract.[5]
Born in Germany, but also having Ghanaian origins, Pfeiffer is eligible to represent both countries internationally.[6]
In July 2022, the president of the Ghana FA, Kurt Okraku, announced that Pfeiffer was one of the few players that had officially switched allegiances to represent the Ghanaian senior national team internationally.[7]
